I’ve called the Midwest home for the last 15 years. I spent 12 years growing up, living, and working across Wisconsin, and after three years at Northern Michigan University in the Upper Peninsula, my love for the Midwest only grew. I love the little things that make it feel like home: changing seasons, Great Lakes sunsets, summer days outside, and the feeling that there’s always somewhere new to explore just down the road. Most of all, I love the people and the sense of community that make the Midwest such a special place to call home.

When I’m not working on a project, you can usually find me making something with my hands. I love needlepoint, embroidery, and other hands-on crafts that give me a chance to step away from a screen and create in a completely different way. There’s something really rewarding about slowing down and watching a project take shape in my hands.

I also love to travel and experience new places, whether that means taking a trip somewhere completely new or finding something unexpected closer to home. And more than anything, I value spending time with the people I care about. Some of my favorite memories have nothing to do with design at all, and I think those experiences are just as important to the way I create and see the world.

Design may be what I do, but curiosity, creativity, and the people and places around me are what keep me inspired.
